Summary of issues
Herrenknecht France is a subsidiary of the German group Herrenknecht, specialist and world leader in the manufacture of tunnel boring machines.
With the launch of the Grand Paris Express projects in particular, the French subsidiary, created in 1998, saw its activity multiply by 10 in 2017.
As part of the restructuring of the finance department, the organisational audit identified actions to improve the time management and payroll process.
The Finance Department wanted to :
- Mapping the payroll process from the issue of the site report to the pay slip
- Identify levers for improvement including automation through market tools
Solutions and actions
- Step 1: Interviews with internal and external stakeholders with mapping of the existing process
- Step 2: Design thinking of the target process to optimise processing times, improve controls and eliminate time-consuming tasks
- Step 3: Issuance of a detailed report with recommendations, in particular to reorganise the payroll calendar, review the payroll manager's service contract, optimise the use of the payroll tool and set up a safe for employees
- Step 4: Recommendation of digital solutions to manage administrative tasks
