Summary of issues
The project involved more than 154 entities spread across the globe, reflecting the scale and complexity of the organisation. As part of the project, we took charge of an essential aspect: the migration of P2P (Procure-to-Pay) and R2R (Record-to-Report) data, a crucial step in guaranteeing the continuity of operations, the integrity of critical data and the reliability of financial and purchasing processes.
The main issues identified were

Solutions and actions
Step 1: Preparation and structuring
- Definition of objects to be migrated : Identify the types of data (financial, purchasing) and their business owners, to organise an effective recovery.
- Analysing source data: Identify gaps and inconsistencies in existing systems in order to limit upstream risks.
- Mobilising stakeholders: Raising awareness and aligning business and IT teams with objectives.
Step 2: Strategy and planning
- Defining the migration strategy : drawing up the roadmap and provisional schedule with the key stages (Mock, Dry run, Switchover, etc.)
- Organisation of migration perimeters : Take account of organisational and human constraints to ensure smooth execution.
- Implementation of controls : define the controls and criteria for validating the recovery of exhaustive data in the target systems

- Launching and carrying out migration operations by phase, specifying the expectations for each phase.

- RREX at the end of each phase and management of the corrections to be made to the various objects
